The new Boots Regional Dispensing Hub (RDH) in Basingstoke is an advanced, hybrid semi-automated pharmacy and warehouse operation, utilising technology and automation to centrally fill repeat prescription scripts and dispatch to our stores within 24 hours of receiving the prescription. The Dispensing Hub will support our stores across the region, helping our healthcare teams spend more time with their patients and offer a greater range of services to their local community.

Shift patterns:

  • Shift 1: 06:00-14:00
  • Shift 2: 14:00-22:00
  • Shift 3: 16:00-00:00

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the future of dispensing medicines. The Regional Dispensing Hub is a cutting edge, innovative environment with a mix of pharmacy and warehouse elements. You will be part of a team dispensing Boots prescriptions from across the region using some of the most advanced dispensing technology to allow the team to dispense large volumes of prescriptions with industry leading levels of safety. You will also support the Operations team with stock management where required. Full training will be provided as you work to complete your training for our bespoke NVQ2 accreditation.

What you need to have:

  • Drive and commitment to complete your site specific training to achieve your NVQ2 accreditation within the first six months of your role
  • Ability to work at pace
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Punctuality and good timekeeping
  • Able to follow and uphold health and safety standards and operational procedures to ensure the safe and legal dispensing of medicines and the welfare of your colleagues

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience within warehousing or logistics would be advantageous but isn't essential.
