Our Digital Team are looking for a dynamic IT Project Manager to join the Digital Core Programme. As an IT Project Manager you will be accountable for key projects within this major growth area in the Boots IT department. This is a great opportunity to join an innovative team at the forefront of IT projects for the Boots Digital Core team. IT is at the centre of what we do. Key responsibilities:

  • Managing key projects through stages of the project lifecycle following initial shaping by Lead BA to ensure effective and high-quality delivery.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with partners (both business & technical) to shape, influence and inform strategic direction.
  • Work with the RTE to facilitate PI planning.
  • Following project management frameworks and standards within the team.
  • Continually assessing projects to ensure Risks and Issues are captured and understood.
  • Managing and tracking project finances.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves):

  • You will have significant experience of working within an agile software delivery environment with a strong Programme and Project Management experience.
  • Experience of Retail and Digital preferable.
  • Experience of Waterfall and Agile preferable.
  • A commercial mindset and ability to provide well thought out solutions for IT departments.
  • Excellent networking skills and ability to adapt key stakeholders mindset.
  • Someone who can simplify and communicate technical requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A thorough understanding of Agile methodologies supported by the skills to guide and coach teams in prioritising and executing against a product backlog.
  • Strong understanding of principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing activities involved in planning and delivering software development projects.
  • Excellent ability to manage, influence, align and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels in the business.
  • An individual who can own their work and be proactive when required.
