What you’ll be doing:
As an Integration Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology landscape. You’ll lead the design and governance of integration solutions across a diverse enterprise landscape. This includes both hands‑on engagement in delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, reusable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and modern integration patterns within a Centre for Enablement (C4E) model.
You will work closely with key stakeholders across product, engineering, and architecture to drive API‑led, cloud‑native, and event‑driven solutions, supporting both transformation initiatives and ongoing platform evolution.
Integration Architecture Scope:
- MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (CloudHub & hybrid/Kubernetes runtimes)
- Enterprise Service Bus Platforms (IBM WebMethods & IBM App Connect Enterprise)
- API Management (Google Apigee)
- Event streaming and messaging (Confluent Kafka, IBM Universal Messaging and WMQ)
- Other data integration tooling (ADF, Talend)
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement solutions using API‑led connectivity (System, Process, Experience APIs) and event‑driven patterns, promoting API reuse.
- Act as the primary architecture contact for Product Managers, Project Managers, and business stakeholders.
- Produce high‑quality architecture artefacts (HLDs, decision logs) and review LLDs aligned to enterprise standards.
- Define and document integration patterns, reusable components, and reference architecture.
- Guide adoption of cloud‑native, microservices, and event‑driven architecture.
- Support coexistence and rationalisation of legacy and modern integration platforms.
- Provide hands‑on architectural guidance to engineering teams throughout delivery.
- Support design discussions for MuleSoft deployments, including CloudHub and Kubernetes runtime models.
- Provide governance/assurance for projects following C4E practice for MuleSoft.
- Support teams in resolving design challenges and delivery blockers and ensure adherence to architecture governance processes, standards, and design quality gates.
- Support implementation within design of API, integration, and security standards (e.g., OAuth, mTLS, data protection).
- Review and approve solution designs from internal teams, partners, and third parties.
- Promote observability, monitoring, and resilience patterns (e.g., logging, tracing, alerting) and collaborate with platform teams to ensure operational readiness and scalability.
What you’ll need to have (our must‑haves):
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect within integration‑heavy environments working within MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Azure, cloud integration services or hybrid integration architectures.
- Strong track record delivering end‑to‑end solution designs in complex enterprise landscapes.
- Deep understanding of integration patterns, distributed systems, and API architecture.
- Strong knowledge of API‑led connectivity, RESTful API design and governance and event‑driven architecture and messaging.
- Proven ability to influence and guide decision‑making at both technical and business levels.
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements such as GDPR and PCI.
- Ability to design secure integration solutions across APIs and platforms.
It would be great if you also have:
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience in a retail or pharmacy environment.
- Experience supporting or defining a Centre for Enablement (C4E) model.

If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.
✨Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach
