What you'll be doing:
- Acting as the strategic finance partner to Programme Directors and transformation teams, shaping the financial direction of key initiatives.
- Designing and embedding proportionate financial governance frameworks that balance control with speed, ensuring investments are aligned to maximising business value.
- Leading consolidated programme financial reporting, delivering clear, forward‑looking insight to executive and board-level stakeholders.
- Providing constructive challenge and enablement to programme teams on budgets, forecasts, risks, and benefits, encouraging informed decisions.
- Ensuring disciplined investment appraisal and ongoing value tracking, with a clear focus on ROI, benefits realisation, and strategic outcomes across transformation initiatives.
- Leading and developing a high‑performing finance team that is comfortable operating in ambiguity, challenging the status quo and enabling change.
What you'll need to have (our must‑haves):
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Significant experience in senior finance roles, ideally within transformation, change, or programme environments.
- Proven ability to partner at executive level, influencing Programme Directors and senior stakeholders.
- Strong experience in financial governance, investment control, and large‑scale programme reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial insight into clear, commercially focused guidance for non‑finance leaders and executives.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience supporting major transformation programmes (e.g., ERP, digital, operating model change).
- Familiarity with programme governance frameworks and portfolio management approaches.
- Strong understanding of benefits tracking, value realisation, and investment appraisal techniques.
