Overview
As part of Commercial Services within Trading, the Layout Design team works closely with all of the business to help our customers feel good by making sure our stores are easy to navigate, with the right ranges & services organised in a way that customers like to shop, whether in a Your Local Boots Pharmacy, a Health & Beauty High Street store or a Destination Flagship store. The Layout Design team underpins all activity that impacts on a store's shop floor with numerous competing initiatives being consolidated into one plan for delivery and implementation by Stores and/or Properties. This position is a vital role for the business; Leading the creation of Store Layouts for all commercial & customer activity. Particularly, drawing Layouts in AutoCAD & Blue Yonder to support Category initiatives and Seasonal changes. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver to time and quality, AutoCAD & Blue Yonder Layouts for all Commercial & Customer Activity
- Make customer & financially focussed micro space decisions using appropriate tools
- Ensure all layouts conform to the appropriate brief and Layout guidance
- Maintain quality standards for layout delivery & engagement with stakeholders
- Manage personal time and workload to effectively deliver to agreed time and quality standards
What you'll need to have
- A fully competent user of AutoCAD is essential as this is the key tool used in the role
- Excellent concern for order & quality
- Be a strong team player
- Be able to work flexibly and adapt to change
- Good numeracy & analytical skills with excellent time management & communication skills
It'd be good if you also have
- Knowledge of Blue Yonder floor planning is desired
- Time and Project management techniques to deliver multiple projects to competing deadlines, with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities
