Welcome to the Boots In Store Marketing Merchandising Team – an exciting team at the heart of Boots UK’s growth plans. As customers are changing, so are we! We’re focusing on really understanding our customers’ needs and making the most of our great products and services to optimise the online shopping experience and drive growth. This role is accountable for all merchandising activity that lands in store covering all 2D kit, the look and feel and management of the customer journey across all categories. This also includes the management of any trials or initiatives that land in store and creating a robust plan for rollout to BAU where required.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the in-store communication brief based on the customer proposition and customer experience by format.
- Responsible for the delivery of all creative (including language) for way finding, category resets and rebuilds in line with our company and merchandising plan.
- Responsible for ensuring that messaging is straight-forward, clear, on brand, uncluttered, aligned to the customer plan.
- Take ownership of the creative principles for 2D kit in our shops across the total estate, from high level to base.
- Responsible for developing all creative for POS including language, and new kit development.
- Work with and manage our design agencies to develop the creative response and solutions in line with the Boots visual identity and as per the retail global principles (whilst meeting the key milestones in the CPA).
- Understand our customers’ needs and what they expect to see in the future, ensuring we can continue to innovate the customer experience for the future – including ensuring all CRPs and rebuilds will be able to elevate campaign messaging as per current process.
- Work with stores to review and gain customer insights building in any changes to shopper behaviours or business needs pre-planning and post-landing in store.
- Manage critical paths and costs in line with project plans for all relevant milestones.
- Manage stakeholders to ensure the creative is in line with expectations.
- Consult/attend MSR sign-offs and become a key decision maker for fixtures that have any 2D/3D POS included.
- Accountable for the production pack development and creation for all rebuilds, and that the kit used has the correct creative and language at each stage of the customer journey.
- Responsible for ensuring the Salesplan, campaign kit and creative work hand in hand to support projection of campaign whilst clear navigation at fixture.
- Responsible for engagement of key stakeholders (including Merchandising) where any new 2D or 3D kit is being designed.
- Trial/initiatives – Creative route development of any trial or initiative that lands in store and has new creative/language elements.
- Production pack creation of any trial or initiative that lands in store and has new creative/language elements and stakeholder engagement and alignment.
- Sign off of all creative and production packs and handover to Merchandising.
