The Beauty Assistant Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in the Boots External Communications team, developing and activating Consumer PR campaigns across beauty. It involves sharing Boots news and stories with relevant media and influencers and covers media relations, content creation, event management, creative writing and stakeholder management.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of communication plans and campaigns for beauty.
- Create and pitch news stories to media and influencers for positive coverage.
- Build and maintain relationships with key beauty contacts to secure high-quality media coverage.
- Develop engaging content and assets to support storytelling.
- Monitor media coverage and compile reports with insights for future activities.
- Respond to media enquiries in a timely and professional manner, supporting with the send out of product samples to media and influencers as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, social media and internal communications to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated communications plans.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activities and relevant news to inform our communications approach and news angles.
What you'll need to have (our must-haves):
- Previous experience in PR or communications, preferably within the beauty sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confidence in engaging with media, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A degree or equivalent experience in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
It would be great if you also have:
- Innovative thinking and a passion for storytelling and brand building.
- Experience in a fast‑paced environment, remaining calm under pressure.
