About the role
We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst, as a member of the Tech Leadership team at Boots Digital Health. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse landscape of healthcare applications and programmes, being at the centre of Boots Digital Health business, delivering the best solutions that put our customer needs first.
Reporting to the IT Director, you will manage demand coming into the tech team, supporting both continuous delivery and more traditional project delivery methodologies. You will work with development teams and product owners/managers to prioritise backlogs within our Agile Delivery Model, and ensure value is unlocked early and following our goals.
Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Tech Business Analysts at Boots Digital Health to ensure delivery
  • Manage relationships with partners (both business & technical) to shape, influence and inform strategic direction
  • Manage demand coming into the Boots Digital Health Tech Team
  • Facilitate preparation of high-level functional and non-functional requirements to support initial sizing of new projects and ongoing master backlog grooming.
  • Support BAs and Product Owners in breaking down work packages into well-crafted Epics, Features and User Stories.
  • Engage with business functions to understand their strategy and business plans to create product roadmaps.
  • Support test teams and delivery teams with the evaluation of defects and prioritisation of these defects.
  • Line management of business analyst working within the area.
  • Work with the broader team to prepare and facilitate PI planning.
  • You will be a leader in the IT leadership to identify and improve processes
What you\'ll need to have
  • You will have experience working within an Agile software delivery environment in a leadership role.
  • You will have experience working as a Product Owner/Product Manager or Business Analyst.
  • You will understand Agile methodologies supported by the skills to guide and coach teams in prioritising and working towards a product backlog.
  • You will understand principles, theories, practices, and techniques for managing activities involved in planning and delivering software development projects.
  • You will manage, influence, negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels in the business.
