What you’ll be doing

As a Junior Commercial Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Healthcare team, reporting to Head of Ethical Commercial Development. You will support our mission to optimise product selection and pricing strategies, ensuring we deliver the best for our customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Use insights from Drug Family Optimisation analysis to support pricing and volume discussions with wholesalers and suppliers required to support optimum preference setting. This includes helping to ensure we select the right products across c.6k DM&D drug families and c.25.5k lines, supporting preference changes.
  • Work closely with our Supply teams to help maximise commercial advantage during periods of product shortage.
  • Collaborate with teams working on Brand Equalisation to help shape new opportunities.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance and development of the Drug Family Optimisation database and associated analysis.
  • Contribute to wider commercial and margin-enhancing projects as required.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

  • Experience in Healthcare or Commercial activity, ideally with knowledge of dispensing products and/or purchasing.
  • Comfort using data to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
  • Clear and confident communication skills when working with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • A positive, customer‑focused mindset.
  • Confident using Excel and other core Windows applications.

It would be great if you also have

  • Additional experience in project management or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with market trends in the healthcare sector.
