About the role
We\’re seeking a passionate and accomplished Independent Prescribing Pharmacist to join our innovative Digital Healthcare Team. This is a role for pharmacists who want to provide fantastic care to patients in smarter and more technology-enabled ways and be a part of supporting the future of healthcare delivery with Boots Online Doctor.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct online consultations, including video or telephone, and prescribe where clinically appropriate
- Adhere to our strict clinical and prescribing guidelines
- Use our secure digital platform for all patient interactions and documentation
- Participate in clinical meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
- Take responsibility for maintaining your own clinical skills, registration, and CPD requirements
What you\\\’ll need to have
- Independent Prescribing Qualification
- Current registration with GPhC
- Ability to make independent clinical decisions, while knowing when to seek support or collaborate
- Experience working in digital-first healthcare or a strong interest in delivering care through digital platforms
- Clear and respectful communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different people and situations
- Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic health records, with a willingness to learn new systems
It would be great if you also have
- Experience working in online-only or hybrid clinical settings
- Familiarity with digital tools such as online prescribing software, Slack, Google Workspace, and Chrome
- Experience in weight management and/or dermatology
- Interest in contributing to the continuous improvement of digital healthcare products
- Previous experience working in a Boots store or similar retail healthcare environment
