Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Join Boots as an eCommerce Trading Assistant Manager - Instant Delivery in Nottingham! This is an exciting opportunity to be at the frontier of our Instant Delivery proposition, helping us bring Boots products to customers in as little as 30 minutes. You’ll be part of our dynamic Strategy & Insights team, reporting directly to the Head of Digital Transformation. In this hands-on role, you’ll blend strategic setup with live trading, making a real impact on our eCommerce operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Setting up and onboarding Boots ROI stores onto partner delivery platforms, managing configuration, operational readiness and availability to ensure stores are correctly set up and trading to plan.
- Building and managing the product catalogue end-to-end, including range setup, seasonal changes, pricing amendments and ongoing optimisation to drive conversion.
- Establishing the financial accounting, reconciliation and audit framework for the ROI Instant Delivery P&L, ensuring revenue is correctly tracked and attributed.
- Assessing and monitoring refund activity across partner platforms to identify trends, anomalies and potential fraud.
- Negotiating and securing trade deals with external partners, building the promotional calendar and owning delivery against agreed commercial commitments.
- Managing day-to-day trading performance in real time, holding partners accountable and reacting quickly to protect and grow results.
- Coordinating marketing activity across partner and owned channels, sourcing and gaining approval for materials to drive customer awareness and acquisition.
- Owning performance reporting and KPIs, presenting insights to senior stakeholders and using data to shape ongoing trading strategy.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves):
- Experience in an eCommerce, digital retail or trading role.
- Comfortable managing a broad scope of responsibilities simultaneously - this role touches trading, catalogue, finance, marketing and reporting, often all at once.
- Confident acting as the subject matter expert and go-to point of contact for internal teams across the business.
- Confident using data to understand trading performance, spot trends and make commercial decisions quickly.
- Strong stakeholder management - able to build relationships with and hold external partners and internal teams accountable.
- A solid understanding of online trading levers: range, pricing, promotions and product availability.
- Able to take proven processes and implement and adapt them effectively for a new market.
- Confident using Excel for reporting and day-to-day analysis, and Microsoft Office generally.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience with third-party delivery platforms like Uber Eats or Just Eat.
- Knowledge of the Irish retail market and consumer behaviour.
- A background in health, beauty, wellness, or FMCG retail.
- A genuine passion for the instant delivery channel.
