As a key member of the pharmacy team, you support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and efficient pharmacy services, building relationships with patients, dispensing prescriptions, and providing health advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting medication.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist when appropriate.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe and legal dispensing.
- Keep up to date with new innovations and operational processes in the store.
- Manage patient prescriptions and repeats to promote adherence and reduce waste.
- Operate new systems and technologies to improve patient safety and staffing efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working toward and completing the first year of an MPharm qualification.
- Current and valid UK right to work.
- Experience working in community pharmacy (desirable).
