The hourly rate for this role is £13.32 and up to £15.05 across selected locations within London.

About the opportunity

As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. Within the healthcare department of the store, you will build relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your duties include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice to support patients in making informed health decisions. You will make a difference every day.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prescription dispensing, ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in your store to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
  • Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support safe and legal dispensing.
  • Stay updated with new innovations and comply with operational processes.
  • Support patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
  • Work with evolving technologies to improve dispensing processes, enhancing patient safety and efficiency.

You will receive regular training to develop your healthcare knowledge and have opportunities for career progression, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leader.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent).

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience working in community pharmacy.
