The role involves key cross-functional collaboration with other supply chain and Boots.com teams, providing excellent customer service with a mindset of customer excellence.
The Boots.com Control Manager will be instrumental in helping the organization achieve its Agile Transformational goals. Responsible for embedding an Agile culture, methodology, tools, and techniques to help teams maintain a delivery and learning cadence focused on delivering value aligned with organizational outcomes, while remaining creative and dynamic.
Responsible for guiding teams through the implementation process, encouraging colleagues and leadership to embrace the Agile mindset and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage night shift operations of warehouse management systems fulfilling Boots.com orders, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are achieved, and monitoring daily workload progress. Take necessary system, engineering, or operational actions to ensure timely completion.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Assistant Control Managers.
- Analyze issues post-resolution to identify root causes and develop clear action plans. Ensure issues and resolutions are well documented and best practices shared with other Control Room Managers.
- Collaborate with departmental managers, planning managers, and engineering managers to plan current and future workload requirements.
- Manage onsite severity 1 issues with Boots.com Burton systems, including communicating with senior stakeholders.
What you\’ll need to have
- Experience managing a technical team, IT equipment, and resolving system-related problems.
- Experience in developing management reports, working with automated warehouse systems, and managing IT equipment use and repairs.
- Exposure to project-based work, warehouse processes, operational management, and people management skills.
- A self-starter who can act as an ambassador for the company and its culture.
- Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to resolve conflicts, maintain relationships, and influence performance.
