Key responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, from design through to installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Manage multiple automation projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with scope, budget, and timescales.
- Deliver projects safely and efficiently within live operational environments, minimising disruption to client operations.
- Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop project plans, risk assessments, and budgets in line with company procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant CDM regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate on-site activities and oversee installation teams, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and financial updates.
Required qualifications:
- Proven experience in project leadership within an automation or engineering environment.
- Experience delivering complex engineering projects in live operational environments.
- Strong understanding of automated materials handling systems; ASRS experience highly advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines and complex budgets.
- Working knowledge of CDM regulations and possession of SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) desirable.
- PRINCE2 or other formal project management qualification advantageous.
- LOLER awareness.
- An appreciation for automation utilities.
- Willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays.
- Full UK driving licence.
