Assistant Financial Controller – Global Sourcing for No7 Permanent Vyoma Gandhi – vyoma.gandhi@boots.co.uk

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a global team (including Genpact) to ensure accurate and timely month end close, meeting Group reporting and external reporting requirements.
  • Direct external audit and oversee production of statutory accounts (UK entities) along with relevant reconciliations between GAAPs, explaining key movements and adjustments to enable directors and auditors to sign off within Group deadlines.
  • Advise on global accounting standards and WBA policy, ensuring alignment with Global Technical Accounting and seeking advice where needed.
  • Manage Genpact R2R relationship for No7 and work alongside EFS to drive efficiencies, improved KPIs and robust balance sheet.
  • Improve the control environment, standardising processes and controls across No7 entities and the wider Boots business post-S4 implementation.
  • Forge relationships with the wider finance function, corporate teams, tax and business stakeholders, bringing an accounting and controls lens to business initiatives.
  • Lead through change and transformation with a continuous improvement mindset, developing the role of Controllership within Finance and the wider business.

What you’ll need to have

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge ideally including USGAAP and previous experience of audit and statutory accounts production.
  • Highly collaborative and externally oriented, able to conclude outcomes to ensure business compliance with accounting policy.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a multi-site team through empowerment, providing performance-related feedback and mentoring/coaching.
  • The drive to achieve excellence in process and controls to transform finance.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Cognos Controller and Black Line would be advantageous.
