What you’ll be doing day to day

Reporting into the Category Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our development, sourcing and delivering consumer brands including our own wonderful brands. You’ll help decide what products reach our in-store shelves. You’ll get to know our customer favourites, analysing data and providing great sourcing recommendations to support our global consumer and retail brand strategies.

Your commercial awareness in this fast-paced, ever-changing market will serve you well as you’ll be part of big projects with high-profile brands. Inspiring the Brand Buying team, you’ll always put our customers at the heart of everything you do. You’ll look out for new opportunities and identify what we could be missing out on to set Boots apart from other retailers.

How will you do it?

You’ll love our brands and be an ambassador for them, as we work towards becoming the world’s best pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer. Building great relationships with our vendors and suppliers, you’ll help our customers get the best products at a great price. Showing off your negotiation skills, you’ll help reduce our costs and seek out a global source for raw materials at the best possible price.

With your fantastic eye for detail, you’ll find great opportunities for our brands, working closely with the Brand Buying team, focusing on our financial targets and monitoring our progress. There’s also a range of fantastic benefits and training for you, not to mention great in-store discounts.

What you’ll need to have

We’re looking for great people with a friendly personality. It’s all about working together as one great team - after all, it’s our people that are at the heart of our business. You’ll have lots of great experience in either sourcing or buying, supplier management, or negotiation skills from an FMCG or other business. But it isn’t just about experience; we’re interested in seeing the real you.

Just to let you know, sometimes you’ll need to travel within the UK or internationally.
