Responsibilities
- Delivering NHS, locally commissioned, and private services using both in-store and digital tools
- Leading professional and legal standards for patient safety and pharmacy compliance
- Monitoring, evaluating, and continually improving standards of care and safety
- Working with the Store Manager to develop the capability of the wider healthcare team
- Growing talent that reflects the communities we serve; coaching, mentoring and supporting your colleagues every step of the way.
- Representing Boots within the local community and with healthcare professionals. Join an Experienced team: Store Manager/Pharmacist with 30 years' experience, a Relief Pharmacist, 2 trainee technicians and 7 fully qualified dispensers.
- Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience leading patient and customer care within a pharmacy setting
- Passion for delivering essential, advanced, and private services
- A collaborative, team-first mindset and an eagerness to coach and guide others
- Experience in enhanced services

Location & Working Hours
Vibrant Thirsk, a popular market and tourist town with a large elderly population, free parking and excellent A1/A168 road links, as well as regular trains from Leeds and York. Opening hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm; Saturday 9:30am-5:30pm. Rota: Week 1 - Fri,Sat Week 2 Thur,Fri,Sat Week 3 Wed Thur,Fri,Sat Week 4 - Thur,Fri,Sat. We may also be able to consider full time.
Contract & Assessment
This role requires the successful candidate to complete a pre-employment check after receiving an offer. Depending on your location, you will be asked to submit either a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service), PVG (Protection of Vulnerable groups) or an Access NI Check. Boots is a Ban the Box employer and will consider the suitability of applicants with criminal convictions on a case-by-case basis. Where a role is advertised as full-time, we are open to discussing part-time and job share options.
