- What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Department Manager, you will lead a team of warehouse colleagues within our Burton Service Centre Night Shift operation, ensuring you complete work safely, accurately, and on time.
You will deliver operational performance while creating a positive and engaged team culture.
You will lead colleagues and coach individuals to achieve their potential and ensure excellent service for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a team of warehouse colleagues.
- Deliver productivity, quality, attendance and service targets.
- Coaching colleagues to maximise performance and capability.
- Monitoring team performance and taking action to improve results.
- Delivering team briefings and maintaining clear communication throughout the shift.
- Supporting workflow and resource allocation across operational areas.
- Maintaining shift handovers and operational updates.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, security and operational standards.
- Working collaboratively with support departments to resolve operational issues.
- Creating a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture.
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off. Hours: 22:00 – 10:00 (12‑hour shifts).
- What You’ll Need To Have (our Must‑haves)
- Previous experience leading teams within a warehouse, logistics or operational environment.
- Strong communication and people leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Good problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Experience working to operational KPIs and service targets.
- Focus on safety, quality and customer service.
- Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic IT skills and confidence using operational systems and reporting tools.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of challenges.

- Experience within an automated distribution environment.
- Previous experience in warehouse, outbound, despatch or e‑commerce operations.
- Experience managing agency colleagues.
- Knowledge of performance management and attendance processes.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement activities.
- Experience developing colleagues and supporting their progression into leadership roles.
