Solution Architect – Data Platform

About the role
We\’re looking for a talented individual to take the next step in their career and join us as a Solution Architect responsible for leading the definition, design and delivery of data products and solutions on the platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, design and delivery of data products and solutions on the Data Platform.
- Ensure all solution designs meet agreed business requirements, are cost‑effective, deliverable and supportable.
- Align to and continuously improve on platform principles, standards and patterns.
- Work with internal teams to deliver platform capabilities, allowing us to maximize the value of our data.
- Engage with external technology and engineering partners to ensure our solutions align to industry best practices and forward plans.
- Collaborate with the Platform Architect to create reusable designs and platform capabilities.
- Demonstrate strong technical and analytical abilities and a passion for delivering results for customers – both internal and external.
What you\’ll need to have
- In‑depth Azure knowledge and experience with data platform related technologies.
- Experience with Databricks or equivalent cloud data tooling.
- In‑depth experience in design and development of IT and data solutions.
- A broad and balanced understanding of IT capabilities, methods, and technologies.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders on solutions for proposed initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with data engineering approaches needed to fulfil MI and analytics requirements.
It would be great if you also have
- Data product delivery experience for varying levels of data maturity.
- Experience in team management.
- Experience as a subject matter expert for globally distributed teams.
- Experience working in retail, pharmacy, healthcare, supply chain or CPG industries.
- Experience in architectural notation, such as C4 or UML.
