Responsibilities
- Providing the highest standards of care to patients accessing the Boots Travel Service.
- Ensuring that the Knowmalaria app is maintained, accurate, and developed in line with the latest Travel health guidance.
- Providing professional support to pharmacists and nurses delivering our private services in stores either directly or through The Pharmacy Helpdesk.
- Developing your prescribing scope to include new areas of practice and expanding your prescribing role as opportunities arise.
- Being a role model for prescribers across the organisation and supporting the governance for prescribing services.
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered practising pharmacist with a minimum of 3 years post‑registration experience of community pharmacy OR a Registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years post‑registration experience.
- Annotation on the GPhC register as a pharmacist independent prescriber OR annotation on the NMC register as a nurse independent prescriber.
- The ability to develop strong relationships across the teams you work with.
- A high degree of autonomy whilst working and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Should be able to form and develop clinical relationships with external bodies.
- Must have a sound clinical background and the ability to apply that knowledge to clinical decision‑making for knowmalaria software updates.
- Must have articulate communication skills (both written and verbal), a high concern for order and quality, be able to work to tight deadlines, prioritise effectively and deliver on time.
Preferred
- Experience in travel health or related fields.
- Knowledge of the latest healthcare guidelines and practices.
- Leadership experience or aspirations.
