Reporting to the International Retail and Supply Chain Platform Test Manager, you will lead the delivery of testing on behalf of IT for various major programs. As we embark on a period of rapid transformation you will help ensure that projects follow our strategic test goals and will be an ambassador for software quality.
As a Test Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing various testing which include functional and non-functional testing across complex retail and supply chain systems. You will ensure that new releases and integrations meet performance, reliability, and operational readiness standards before going live. As an automation Lead, you need to design, build, maintain robust automation frameworks and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and languages.
Key responsibilities:- Drive the end-to-end delivery of non-functional testing within timescale, cost, and quality constraints.
- Lead end-to-end testing including planning and execution for retail and supply chain IT projects.
- Define and implement automation testing strategies aligned with project goals.
- Define and validate performance benchmarks, failover procedures, and operational KPIs.
- Manage test environments, data provisioning, and tooling for NFR execution.
- Manage dependencies between testing phases and projects across multiple technology stacks and delivery workstreams.
- Review project test estimates and monitor actual costs to maintain financial accuracy.
- Ensure stakeholders are managed and test progress reported with detailed test reports.
- Manage test partner resource, including Test Managers, SDETs, Quality Engineers and Test Analysts.
- Effectively lead, mentor and coach Test Team Members to ensure all colleagues are working together cohesively.
- Collaborate with our internal colleagues and partner teams to foster a mindset of innovation and continuous improvements in testing processes and automation.
- 5 years of test automation or test management experience, preferably in the Retail/Supply chain domain.
- Experience managing end-to-end testing lifecycle, including functional and non-functional phases, across large projects and programmes.
- Experience with supply chain systems (e.g., WMS, OMS, ERP and logistics platforms).
- Expertise in testing tools and methodologies.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience leading partner test teams across various geographical locations.
- Experience with principles, theories, practices, and techniques for managing activities involved in planning and delivering software testing within projects.
- Ability to manage, influence, negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels in the business.
- The ability to explain, simplify and communicate complex messages to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Hands-on EPOS testing experience including POS hardware testing.
