As the Internal Communications Manager for Commercial, you will play a pivotal role in connecting our teams and ensuring they feel informed, inspired, and valued.

What you’ll be doing

In this exciting role as Internal Communications Manager for Beauty, Commercial and ESG, you will own and deliver colleague communications that bring our plans to life in a clear and compelling way. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, you will work closely with senior leaders to translate category strategies into engaging narratives. Your creativity will shine as you lead communications for key trading moments and collaborate with Marketing to align internal and consumer activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Translate commercial strategies into engaging colleague communications that resonate with store teams.
  • Champion Boots Brand products and drive advocacy through compelling storytelling.
  • Lead internal communications for Boots ESG agenda, translating strategy and achievements into clear, engaging colleague stories; partner with the ESG team to plan key moments including the annual ESG Report launch and related campaigns.
  • Create high-quality content across various channels, including newsletters, intranet articles, and social posts.
  • Measure campaign performance and use insights to continually improve communications.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal), with the ability to work calmly and creatively at pace to draft, edit and shape high-quality colleague communications and outline campaign plans.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to build trusted relationships, provide clear counsel and challenge appropriately – shaping decisions early and aligning communications to business priorities.
  • Ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Strategic planning and prioritisation skills.
  • A can-do, resilient mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

It would be great if you also have

  • A background or interest in beauty, retail, health, or wellness sectors.
  • Experience with design packages such as Adobe InDesign or Canva.
