We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Boots Opticians Finance team as Senior Finance Analyst - Franchise Partner Accounts, reporting to the Finance Business Partner - Franchise. This role is central to supporting the financial management of our franchise business. You will work with multiple partners, building relationships and providing best support possible to our franchise estate. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the franchise finance department, such as franchise debt, property and franchise conversion and franchise costs.
Responsibilities
- Franchise Debt management – lead the end‑to‑end franchise debt process, including monitoring, reporting, and regular debt reviews. Oversee direct debit processing and ensure appropriate financial controls are maintained.
- Franchise property – track progress of franchise property interventions, review property plans with the Property Portfolio manager, calculate appropriate charges due from partners, raise invoices accurately and ensure timely payments, ensure correct cost accounting, own franchise property balance sheet.
- Franchise Conversions – prepare final and opening financial statements, process final payments, set up new customer accounts and direct debit arrangements, ensure accurate recognition of income arising from sale transactions, own related franchise balance sheet account.
- Manage the Franchise cost centre, including monthly reviews, budgeting cycles, and quarterly forecasting.
- Resolve financial queries raised by Franchise Partners with efficiency, develop partnering relationships across the business.
- Ad‑hoc projects and analysis of franchise performance.
- Provide backup support for Franchise Partner Accounts month‑end processes and recharge activities.
Qualifications
- Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA) accountant or with intent to begin a qualification.
- Ability to manage workload and deliver to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Manage communication with challenging partners whilst operating with appropriate impact and influence.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a willingness to challenge existing processes.
- Knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential.
- Senior stakeholder management skills.
