In this pivotal role, you will set the UAT strategy and lead business testing across the Boots App and a critical digital transformation programme.

Reporting to the Head of Digital Implementation, you will guide a talented team of eight, ensuring that our digital offerings meet the highest standards of quality and readiness.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Setting the UAT strategy, standards, and integrated test plan across both workstreams.
  • Transforming customer journeys and business requirements into risk-based test coverage and acceptance criteria.
  • Leading UAT readiness, ensuring environments, data, access, and resources are in place.
  • Managing progress reporting, defect triage, escalation, resolution, and retesting.
  • Holding delivery teams and partners accountable for agreed actions, evidence, and timescales.
  • What You’ll Need To Have (our Must-haves)
  • Proven track record of leading complex UAT or business testing for customer-facing digital change.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including managing and developing team members.
  • Ability to align business testers, subject-matter experts, technology teams, and suppliers around clear priorities.
  • Confident communicator comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • It would be great if you also have
  • Knowledge of testing mobile apps, e-commerce platforms, or other high-volume customer-facing digital services.
  • A track record of developing UAT capability and coaching others.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar test and defect-management tools.
