About the role
Boots Property is seeking a Contract Manager to join the Store Maintenance team to drive the successful delivery of critical facilities management / maintenance services in our diverse retail store estate across the UK. This full-time role is based in our Nottingham support office, and will involve UK travel to visit suppliers. We are looking for someone who is passionate about service delivery, identifying opportunities and efficiencies and driving continuous improvement. Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, the job holder will be a member of the Store Maintenance team. Working with a diverse range of contractors / supplier within your technical speciality to drive best in class service delivery. Driving supplier engagement across our FM / Maintenance contracts to create a high performing supply chain, working in partnership to deliver fantastic results to our stores. This role will work closely, and develop excellent relationships with, both internal and external stakeholders. Building meaningful relationships focused on clear delivery metrics of time, cost and quality. Identifying opportunities for service and value improvement. Combining a strategic and tactical approach to maintenance supply chain management that supports the business goals.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the operational delivery of multiple maintenance contracts in line with our supplier management framework
- Hold suppliers to account for delivery of all contractual commitments; performance, commerciality and statutory compliance
- Carry out supplier performance reviews, driving value, service delivery and continuous improvement
- Build and deliver mobilisation and de-mobilisation plans for new and exiting contracts, including on-boarding new suppliers
- Provide expert advice and progress updates on your categories, advising on complex situations ad category performance
- Work closely with the Commercial / Cost Management Team to govern category spend and identify savings opportunities
- Work closely with the Procurement Team to shape and support the tendering process from an operational perspective
- Point of escalation for persistent or significant contractual or service delivery for your categories
What you\’ll need to have
- Experience of managing multiple contracts / suppliers in a Maintenance / Facilities Management / Property environment
- Understanding of managing budgets and identifying and implementing opportunities cost savings and efficiencies
- Analytical skills – ability to analyse large and detailed data sets to identify trends and opportunities
- Able to present data in a compelling way – Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple Stakeholder relationships across the business
- Technical qualification or demonstrable experience in construction management, electrical or mechanical disciplines
