We are looking for a Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our growing team at Boots Digital Health based at either our London office in Islington or from the Boots HQ in Nottingham on a full‐time basis. Part‐time and flexible working requests will be considered.
About the Role
You will report into the Compliance Manager at Boots Digital Health and take the lead on risk management. You will support all departments within Boots Digital Health and provide organisation‐wide support for compliance requirements and help administer compliance matters. You will understand the role that risk and compliance plays in underpinning the high‐quality digital healthcare that Boots Digital Health provides while still grasping the daily operational realities of providing care.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring risk registers across the business are regularly reviewed and kept up to date.
- Work to bring a level of calibration of different risk scoring across areas and flow risks up and down from department to corporate register, assist with scoring and monitoring and tracking of actions.
- Preparation of concise reports and presentations on the status of and updates regarding our compliance position for the senior leadership team and other relevant groups.
- Research and monitor changes in the compliance landscape, particularly with our regulators (CQC, GPhC, GMC, NMC, MHRA, RQIA).
- Undertake quality audits to monitor and manage compliance to standard, ensuring that actions are effectively tracked and managed to completion; raising non‐compliance to management as appropriate.
- Manage data compliance requests, such as SARs and erasure requests promptly and in accordance with the SOP.
- Complete ad‐hoc risk and compliance tasks relating to all areas of the business.
- Assist staff in the completion of Data Impact Assessments, where necessary.
- Review and assist with the drafting of policies and SOPs.
- Manage the administration of policy reviews, updates and approvals to ensure all are completed within appropriate timescales.
What You'll Need To Have
- Solid experience providing corporate risk and compliance administration.
- Provide risk and compliance reports at Executive/Board level.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to build strong relationships with colleagues in departments across the whole organisation.
- Perform within tight time constraints and develop/improve on current processes.
- Able to prioritise requested tasks.
- Experience of compliance and quality audits.
- Ability to make clear suggestions for improving processes and procedures.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Experience in a tech start/scale‐up risk and compliance.
- Experience or knowledge of the NHS, healthcare or healthtech industry risk and compliance.
- Risk qualifications such as IRM Certification would be preferred.
