Ready to use your prescribing skills in a new way?

We’re looking for Independent Prescribing Pharmacists to join us in an exciting permanent hybrid role, bringing together digital healthcare and face-to-face clinical care.

You’ll spend three days each week working remotely for our Boots Online Doctor team, delivering digital healthcare to patients, and two days in one of our selected Boots Healthcare Centres, providing face-to-face clinical services and putting your Independent Prescribing qualification into practice.

It’s an opportunity to enjoy the best of both worlds – the flexibility and innovation of digital healthcare alongside the patient interaction and clinical impact of working within a Healthcare Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality remote consultations and clinical assessments.
  • Make evidence-based prescribing decisions within your scope of practice.
  • Provide appropriate treatment, advice, safety-netting and onward referral.
  • Deliver face-to-face clinical and pharmacy services within a Boots Healthcare Centre.
  • Assess, treat and support patients using your Independent Prescribing qualification.
  • Work collaboratively with Pharmacists, Prescribers and wider healthcare teams to deliver a seamless patient experience.
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical governance and professional practice.
  • Support the continued growth and development of our digital and Healthcare Centre services.
  • What You’ll Need To Have
  • GPh C registration as a Pharmacist.
  • A recognised Independent Prescribing qualification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence working autonomously within your scope of practice.
  • Excellent consultation and communication skills, both remotely and face-to-face.
  • A passion for delivering brilliant patient care.
  • Confidence working across both digital and in-person healthcare environments.
  • Flexibility to work every other weekend as part of your contracted hours.
  • It Would Be Great If You Also Have
  • Experience within digital healthcare, online pharmacy or remote clinical services.
  • Previous experience delivering remote patient consultations.
  • Experience using your Independent Prescribing qualification in a patient-facing setting.
  • An interest in innovation and how digital healthcare can improve patient access and experience.

This isn’t a traditional Pharmacist role.

It’s an opportunity to combine Independent Prescribing, digital healthcare and face-to-face clinical care while developing your skills across two exciting healthcare environments.
