In this highly visible role, you will report to the Head of Finance: FP&A and lead the Financial Planning and Analysis activities. You will coordinate planning processes, provide insightful reporting to our Executive Leadership Team, and build strong relationships with finance teams across Boots UK and beyond. Your contributions will directly impact our strategic decisions and help us achieve our goals.

Location: Nottingham, Beeston.

Responsibilities

  • Lead FP&A activities, including the annual 3‑Year Plan and Budget processes.
  • Design and implement internal processes to meet Group deadlines.
  • Identify performance trends for robust target setting.
  • Provide insightful reporting to aid understanding of performance.
  • Manage and mentor a Senior Finance Analyst.
  • Provide reporting (both regular and ad hoc) to our Executive Leadership Team to aid their understanding of performance, providing analysis and creating insight to inform future decisions.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the confidence to challenge and influence.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of TM1 reporting and Planning Analytics is a plus.
  • Previous experience in leading small teams.
  • A natural curiosity and a 'can do' mindset.
