The predicted salary is between 13 - 15 £ per hour.

The hourly rate for this role is £13.32 and up to £15.05 across selected locations within London.

As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals in your store to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. You will build great relationships with patients by listening to and understanding their needs, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines and providing advice to support patients in making informed decisions about their health and wellness. This role is based in store within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered and applications from candidates outside the UK will not be progressed unless relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed and evidenced.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines: ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collecting prescriptions.
  • Work with other healthcare professionals to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
  • Provide care and advice to patients about medicines, and refer queries to the pharmacist as appropriate.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
  • Support patients to manage their prescriptions the way they want, with reliable repeats and efficient medication management to promote adherence and reduce waste.

You will have the opportunity to work with evolving technologies and new systems, developing traditional dispensing processes to further improve patient safety and release your time for patient interaction.

What You’ll Need To Have

  • Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and have completed first year of an MPharm qualification.
  • Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience working in community pharmacy.
