The predicted salary is between 13 - 15 £ per hour.

The hourly rate for this role is £13.32 and up to £15.05 across selected locations within London.

As a Dispenser in one of our stores, you will be a key member of the pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. You will spend your time building great relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice using your healthcare knowledge to support patients in making informed decisions about their health and wellness. This role is based in a store within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered, and applications from candidates outside the UK will not be progressed unless relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed and evidenced.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prescription dispensing, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
  • Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist as appropriate.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Keep up to date with new innovations in the store and comply with operational processes.
  • Support patients to manage their prescriptions the way they need with reliable repeats, promoting adherence and reducing waste.

You will also have the opportunity to work with new systems that help develop traditional dispensing processes, improving patient safety and freeing up time to spend more with patients. Regular updates and training will be provided to develop your healthcare knowledge, and you will have career development options, including the opportunity to train as a Pharmacy Technician or join the store leadership team.

What You’ll Need To Have
  • Completed Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and having completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
  • Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
