We are thrilled to announce a fantastic and rare opening at our Burton Service Centre for a passionate and proactive Assistant Inventory Manager. This important role supports our agile transformation journey, helping embed agile principles, tools, and practices across teams to foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and value‐driven delivery. You will help guide teams through agile implementation, advocating for a mindset shift across all levels of the organisation in inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate outstanding adjustments weekly, finding root causes and reporting issues.
- Communicate with other colleagues, the control room, Supply teams on stock issues.
- Collate data for the team on agreed KPIs.
- Ensure team members meet performance standards for quality, productivity & attendance.
- Ensure the team are kept engaged & the delivery of team briefings.
- Ensure team members comply with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Health & Safety, security, product safety.
- Maintain an effective handover from the off‐going shift and prepare and deliver pre‐shift briefings.
What You Will Need To Have
- Strong background in inventory management, including leading teams and handling warehouse adjustments.
- Inventory Analysis & Problem Solving: ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and elevate issues when needed.
- Cross‐Functional Collaboration: experience working closely with multiple departments—such as Control Room and Supply Teams—to resolve stock‐related challenges.
- Operational Responsiveness: experienced in providing accurate feedback to operational queries.
- Data Reporting & KPI Tracking: competence in collecting, analysing, and reporting performance data against established KPIs.
- Team Performance Management: background in managing team productivity, attendance and overall performance.
- Team Communication & Engagement: leading team briefings and maintaining engagement through consistent communication.
- Regulatory Compliance Oversight: familiarity with enforcing Health & Safety, security, and product safety regulations within an operational setting.
- Shift Coordination: ability to manage shift transitions through structured handovers and effective pre‐shift briefings.
