Hourly rate: £12.60–£14.13 across selected London locations, increasing after 6 months. No previous experience required; full training will be provided.

About the opportunity

As a Trainee Dispenser in one of our stores, you will be a key member of the pharmacy team supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services. During your Dispenser training (NVQ2) you will build relationships with patients, greet customers, dispense prescriptions, ensure safe medicine sale, and provide advice using healthcare knowledge to support informed decisions about health and wellness. This is a store‑based role within the UK; remote applicants and candidates outside the UK will not be considered unless you can prove UK qualifications and right to work.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
  • Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collecting prescriptions).
  • Work with other healthcare professionals in the store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
  • Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Keep up to date with new innovations and comply with operational processes.
  • Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines effectively, promoting adherence and reducing waste.

What you’ll need to have

  • Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
  • Current and valid UK right to work (role not eligible for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship).

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience working in community pharmacy.
