The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

As an Optometrist with us, you will be providing excellent customer and patient care. Working alongside the Practice Manager, Optical Teams, and Clinical Governance Optometrists, you’ll create a culture where everyone is passionate about doing the right thing. Using your passion for delivering patient care, you will work with colleagues to deliver a positive customer journey. Bringing your vibrant personality into the day-to-day running of the practice – working with your colleagues to ensure everything runs smoothly. Building longstanding relationships – not only with colleagues and customers but with healthcare professionals in the local community.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Fully qualified / soon to be GOC registered Optometrist.
  • Additional registration with the relevant NHS body.
  • Passion for patient care.

You will complete a Pre-employment check after receiving an offer. Depending on your location, you will be asked to submit either a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service), PVG (Protection of Vulnerable groups), or an Access NI Check. Boots is a Ban the Box employer and will consider the suitability of applicants with criminal convictions on a case-by-case basis.

Need To Know:

The team are well experienced and have been around for a number of years, with an average time in the company around 10-15 years. We have 4 qualified DO's including the Practice Manager. There are 2 resident CLO's and 2 other resident Optoms. We have recently had a refit and customers are loving the new look. It feels modern and fresh, best way to compliment the services we provide in store. Dry eye is something that is really taking off in practice, with CLO's running 2 clinics per week. We also have Optomap and OCT to enhance the clinical experience. This really is an opportunity not to be missed, and if you would like to grow your career or scope of practice, then Bedford is really the best place!
