Role Description

In this full-time, on-site role based in Edinburgh, the Job Title will deliver high-quality eyecare and customer service to individuals and families. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with customers, understanding their vision needs, and guiding them through eye examinations, product selection, and aftercare. The role involves working closely with colleagues to maintain a welcoming, professional store environment and ensuring that clinical and retail standards are consistently met. The Job Title will contribute to sales and service targets, support promotional activities, and help customers choose suitable frames, lenses, and contact lens plans. The role also includes accurate record-keeping, adherence to regulatory and company policies, and active participation in ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and explain eyecare options clearly.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing appointments, records, and store tasks efficiently.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with optometrists, optical assistants, and store colleagues.
  • Basic IT skills and comfort with using in-store systems and digital tools for bookings, customer records, and product information.
  • Experience in retail, healthcare, or optical settings is beneficial, along with an interest in vision care and fashion eyewear.
