About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the R2R/Controllership function, for a skilled and process-focused accountant to gain experience and utilise their expertise, managing R2R process execution and improvement, primarily in Boots International, the main UK-based distributor of No7 Beauty Company.
Part of a dynamic Global team, reporting into the Tower Lead (R2R) with a dotted line of support into the Head of Finance – No7 Beauty Company Controllership. You\’ll have direct reports and an offshore support team. You\’ll need to be agile and flexible as you\’ll play a key role in the transition of the team into the Digital Operations function and be responsible for the go live of Orion for Boots International and Boots International Management Services Ltd and supporting the wider Boots businesses as required.
Broad in nature due to the size of the business, this role covers transactional accounting, month end close, governance and controls, external audit and finance systems. There is also the opportunity to be involved in statutory account preparation. A key part of the role will be acting as a champion for continuous improvement and working cross-finance to drive efficiencies in process and ways of working.
Key responsibilities
· Ensuring month end close and reporting is timely and accurate
· Oversight and review of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with policy
· Ensuring transfer pricing and royalties are accounted for correctly
· Managing external audit requirements and responses
· Managing adhoc group requirements and acting as financial accounting advisor for business projects
· Implementation of S4/HANA, supporting the on and offshore team through change
· Opportunity to expand knowledge and experience across other Boots/No7 entities as required
· Proactively driving continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma Green belt training provided)
· Actively developing people, in both your team and the wider finance function, to ensure accurate accounts and strong control environment
· Coaching and mentoring Genpact offshore team
What you\’ll need to have
· Fully qualified accountant
· Drive to make improvements and challenge the status quo
