Overview
The salary for this role is £12.40 per hour. The festive season at Boots is one of our most exciting and important times of the year, and it simply couldn’t happen without the energy, warmth and dedication of our store teams. As a Christmas Customer Assistant, you\'ll be at the heart of the action, greeting customers with a smile, offering product and gift advice, and creating a memorable experience that leads to a happily ever after and keeps them coming back all year round.
This role is a great opportunity whether you\'re just starting your career or have retail or customer service experience and want a fresh challenge. While this is a temporary contract, there may be potential for a permanent role later depending on opportunities in your local area.
About the role
You will work in a Boots store and report to the Assistant or Store Manager. Your responsibilities will include:
- Customer Interaction: You\'ll offer thoughtful advice, recommend products and highlight our amazing offers to ensure everyone has an enjoyable shopping experience and no one leaves empty-handed.
- Till Operation: Whether you\'re wrapping up purchases at the counter or supporting our self-checkout systems, you\'ll bring energy and efficiency to every transaction.
- Stock Management: You\'ll keep shelves full so customers can find what they need during the busiest shopping season of the year.
- Store Presentation: Ensure every area always looks its best.
- Online order support: You may assist with deliveries, picking, and packing for online orders as needed.
What you\'ll need to have
Full training is provided, but these are the essential skills or experience:
- Available to work Bank Holidays including Black Friday week and weekend, Cyber Monday, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day.
- Customer Service Skills: Comfortable approaching customers and providing a personalised experience.
- Operations Ready: Able to balance customer care with daily shopfloor and operational tasks.
- Tech-Savvy: Ability to learn and use new technology, including handheld devices, tills and self-checkouts.
- Team Player: Collaborative, one-team mindset.
- Physical Stamina: On your feet, standing, walking and lifting.
- Brand Ambassador: Love Boots ethos and products and share them with customers.
