Overview
The salary for this role is £12.40 per hour.
The festive season at Boots is one of our most exciting and important times of the year. As a Christmas Customer Assistant, you\’ll be at the heart of the action, greeting customers with a smile, offering product and gift advice, and creating a memorable experience that leads to repeat visits throughout the year.
This is a temporary contract, with potential for a permanent role later depending on local opportunities. It can be a great starting point for your career, whether you are new to retail or have customer service experience looking for a fresh challenge.
Responsibilities
- Customer Interaction: Offer thoughtful advice, recommend products and highlight offers to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Till Operation: Support purchases at the counter and with self-checkout to ensure efficient transactions.
- Stock Management: Keep shelves full so customers can find what they need during peak season.
- Store Presentation: Ensure the store looks its best at all times.
- Online order support: Assist with deliveries, picking and packing for online orders when required.
What you’ll need to have
- Available to work Bank Holidays including Black Friday week and weekend, Cyber Monday, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day.
- Customer Service Skills: Comfortable approaching customers and providing a personalised experience.
- Operations Ready: Balance customer care with daily shopfloor and operational tasks.
- Tech-Savvy: Ability to learn and use new technology, including handheld devices, tills and self-checkouts.
- Team Player: Collaborative, one-team mindset to meet store goals.
- Physical Stamina: On your feet, standing, walking and lifting as part of a busy environment.
- Brand Ambassador: Passion for Boots ethos, products and services.

We are looking for candidates to start from 8 September onwards with a variety of shifts available between 06:00 and 20:00, which may include weekends. Shift patterns may appear below. Available shift patterns: Monday to Saturday 06:00–20:00; Sunday 08:00–17:00. The advert will close once we meet our recruitment needs.
