As an Assistant Manager at Boots Opticians you will lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey. You will work closely with the Store Manager to create and deliver the commercial plan to help the business grow and change for the better. You will be involved across the whole store, including customer service, store operations and the clinical activities such as patient pre-screening, dispensing, accuracy checks and more. You will manage a team with varying experience and clinical knowledge, helping them develop their knowledge, skills and future careers. This role includes management tasks such as creating and maintaining rotas, return to work reviews and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exemplary customer journey across the store.
  • Support the Store Manager to create and implement the commercial plan.
  • Work across the store including customer service, operations and clinical activities (patient pre-screening, dispensing, accuracy checks and more).
  • Lead and develop a team with varying experience and clinical knowledge.
  • Create and maintain rotas, conduct return to work reviews and manage performance.
  • Participate in industry leading training programmes to develop clinical knowledge and leadership skills.
