About the role
We are looking for a Category Management Data Analyst to join the Data Science and Analytics team within Boots Data Office. You will work with the Boots UK team to turn raw data and fragmented, multi-sourced information into meaningful insight, understanding both the bigger picture and detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare retail lever analytical tools to manage and evaluate commercial decisions for price, range/distribution and supplier/brand
- Coordinate and curate a suite of automated reports and text file based trend information to support each category project
- Work with a wide range of stakeholders across our commercial and insight teams in Boots UK and / or International Retail
- Deliver end-to-end category analysis with your experience of analysing large data sets through SQL or similar
- Continuously maintain and develop insight best practice to build and share category management capability with the commercial teams across Boots UK.
Qualifications & experience
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and presentational skills
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of lookups, pivot tables and charts is advantageous
- A keen interest in how retail works and in the Boots business
- Ideally a year\’s commercial experience in an analytical role
- Degree level (or equivalent) in a numerate discipline – preferably Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing or Business Studies with knowledge of business analysis, marketing or similar
