Location: 3 Halstead Ln, Nelson BB9 6HH
Hours: 20 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Closing date: 18/07/26
Working Pattern:
This is a part-time position with a contract of 20 hours per week. As part of your contract, we ask for availability that is, as a minimum, one and a half times your weekly hours. For example, if you were on a 10-hour contract, we would ask for 15 hours of availability. This doesn’t mean you will work 15 hours (unless there is overtime available, and this may be offered to you) but your shifts may be placed anywhere within the availability you provide. This helps us build fair, consistent rotas, and ensures we can meet customer demand across the week. With this role being in Retail, you must also be available to work one late night and one weekend day per week. You will have 2.5 weeks’ notice of when your shifts will be. If you can’t exactly match the hours and days we are looking for, this can be discussed. We are always happy to hear from you.
The Role - Counters and Café:
Our customers will be your main focus, and everything you do will be with their shopping experience in mind. As a Specialist Customer Assistant, you will be working on our Counters and within our cafes. As part of our Counters team, you will be working with a variety of meat, fish and dairy products. You will have a high degree of customer interaction and should therefore have a friendly, polite and approachable manner. As a member of our Café team you could be supporting in the kitchen making items from the menu or working as part of the Front of House team making beverages, serving customers or keeping on top of cleanliness within the dining area.
About:
At Booths, you’re more than an employee, you’re part of the family. We’ve been family-run since 1847, and that spirit runs through everything we do. When you join our team, you’ll feel supported, valued, and inspired to be your best. We believe in three things: People, Product, and Place. That means looking after each other, championing great food and drink, and creating welcoming stores where our customers and colleagues feel at home.
Working for us has great rewards:
- Discount card, 25% off Café, lunchtime and Hot Counter, 20% off Meat, Fish, Fruit and Vegetables, 10% off Licensed, 15% off everything else
- Shopping discounts with my Booths benefits
- Wellbeing support
- Pension
