We are urgently hiring a Mechanical Fitter for a leading engineering business specialising in high-performance pump systems. This role offers hands-on involvement in the full lifecycle of pump assembly, from new builds to service and repair, across both Original Equipment and aftermarket projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precision assembly and refurbishment of complex pump systems
  • Quality inspections, documentation, and self-verification of work
  • Testing support including hydrostatic, vibration and noise checks
  • Rotation across build areas for skill development and knowledge sharing
  • Occasional on-site service work as a technical representative
  • Supporting lean improvements and process efficiency initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completed mechanical apprenticeship or time-served with 3+ years’ experience
  • Strong mechanical fitting skills in heavy or precision manufacturing
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions
  • Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement mindset
