Role Summary As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing commercial aspects of projects ranging in size and complexity. This includes providing basic project management services for small to medium-sized projects, ensuring alignment with client and business objectives, and driving financial performance. Key Responsibilities · • Administer contracts and manage work packages. · • Deliver accurate cost and value reporting to meet client and business requirements. · • Prepare and submit applications for payment and ensure timely cash receipts. · • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimise financial and commercial risks. · • Prepare and estimate contract changes, variations, and claims in compliance with contractual frameworks. · • Provide commercial support to project teams, including contract compliance and change management advice. · • Establish and maintain interfaces with internal and client project teams. · • Ensure adherence to company standards, governance, and contractual obligations. · • Maintain auditable records in accordance with contract requirements. · • Provide training and mentorship to graduate team members. Key Requirements · • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (5+ years\’ experience in commercial management). · • Professional certification (e.g., RICS) is desirable. · • Proficiency in NEC contract management with a proven track record in post-contract environments. · • Strong negotiation and communication skills. · • Experience in medium-value, complex projects within a related industry. · • Excellent financial and commercial acumen. · • Proficiency in MS Excel, Project, and Outlook. · • Experience in a matrix working environment and a collaborative team setting.
