An established, high-volume manufacturing site is looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the next phase of technical and operational development. This is a senior, site-critical role with responsibility for compliance, safety, reliability and long-term engineering strategy. The business is investing heavily in plant, equipment and people, with significant capital projects planned as part of a wider growth programme.
The role involves full ownership of the engineering function, leading a multi-disciplinary team across maintenance, projects and continuous improvement. The focus is on building structure, driving standards and moving the department forward in a controlled, compliant way.
Key responsibilities include:- Full accountability for engineering compliance, statutory requirements and audits
- Ownership of Health & Safety within the engineering function, embedding best practice and safe systems of work
- Leading and developing the engineering team, setting clear expectations and raising capability
- Managing and delivering large CAPEX projects, from business case through to installation and handover
- Improving asset reliability, downtime reduction and preventative maintenance strategies
- Working closely with senior site leadership to support production, quality and growth objectives
- Playing a key role in shaping the long-term engineering roadmap for the site
