Booth Welsh have partnered with a client in Glasgow to help them resource a Control Systems Engineer to work across their project Department within a large production/manufacturing plant near Glasgow. This will be a contract role with a good hourly rate for 6 months at least and will probably go a lot longer than this.
Knowledge and experience required:
- Working in a process environment
- Experience within design as well as implementation/commissioning
- Full working knowledge of Rockwell packages: Studio 5000, FT View SE, RS Linx / FT Linx
- Capability to design control systems 'from the ground up'
- PLC programming
- HMI programming
- Network design
- Instrumentation setup and configuration
- Documentation - loop sheets, functional specifications etc.
- High level of safety knowledge in process area
- Working knowledge of IEC 61511
- Capability to complete design (SIS/SIF)
- Knowledge and experience on industrial networks (ethernet, Profibus would be beneficial)
- Wider knowledge of 3rd party systems (e.g. Turck)
