We are seeking an experienced Service Designer to join a high-profile Home Office programme on an Inside IR35 contract paying £400 per day via umbrella company.
This is a predominantly remote engagement, with approximately 90% remote working and only occasional onsite attendance for research and stakeholder activities.
The Role
You will play a key role in designing and improving complex public services, working as part of multidisciplinary agile delivery teams. You will help shape user-centred services, facilitate workshops, translate research into actionable insights, and ensure services meet Government standards.
- Strong Public Sector/Government experience is essential
- Proven experience working to GDS standards and Government Design Systems
- Service blueprinting, journey mapping, and service design artefact creation
- Designing and testing service concepts through prototyping
- Workshop facilitation and co-design leadership
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to balance user, business, and technical needs
- Experience working within agile delivery environments
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles
- Active SC Clearance required
