Rate: £500 - £525 per day
Location: Predominantly Remote (occasional travel to UK sites, typically no more than once per month)

We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Senior Technical Architect to join a large-scale transformation programme operating within a complex multi-supplier environment. This role requires a security-cleared professional who can quickly engage with technical teams, suppliers and stakeholders from day one.
This is a hands-on architecture role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with suppliers, engineering teams and stakeholders to shape technical solutions, provide technical assurance and support service modernisation initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strong architectural expertise with practical engineering knowledge and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend supplier technical calls, workshops and design reviews.
- Challenge supplier assumptions, architectural decisions, implementation approaches and delivery plans.
- Review API, integration and system designs.
- Support technical assurance across testing, resilience, observability and operational readiness.
- Identify technical risks and develop pragmatic solutions.
- Support discovery activities, including build-versus-buy assessments and prototyping where appropriate.
- Contribute to future-state architecture and service modernisation initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Active SC Clearance (Essential).
- Extensive experience as a Technical Architect within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong background in API, integration and system design.
- Experience working within multi-supplier delivery environments.
- Ability to challenge technical designs and architectural approaches constructively.
- Strong understanding of resilience, observability, testing and operational readiness.
- Excellent stakeholder management and supplier engagement skills.
- Hands-on engineering or software delivery background with the ability to review technical solutions in detail.
