As a Solution Architect, you’ll shape scalable, maintainable systems—working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software outcomes.
The Role
You will:
- Own end-to-end solution design, aligning architecture with business and technical strategy
- Produce practical, implementable designs across application, data, and technology layers
- Work closely with engineering teams, guiding and assuring delivery
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure solutions meet security, quality, and governance standards
Requirements
- Active SC clearance or eligibility to obtain it (UK residency requirements apply)
- A strong software development background, with significant hands-on experience
- Proven track record as a software developer (Java, C#, Python) before moving into architecture
- Experience transitioning from an “out-and-out” developer into a Solution/Technical Architect role
- Strong understanding of modern software design, engineering practices, and system architecture
- Experience with Agile, DevOps, and contemporary delivery approaches
- Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Experience working with stakeholders and guiding delivery teams
- Exposure to architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
