Software Developer

Tech Scale-Up | Leeds, UK (Hybrid/Flexible)

£40,000 – £50,000

We’re working with an ambitious, tech-driven business that’s transforming how economic policy and investment decisions are made using AI and real-time data. They're now looking for a capable and curious Software Developer to join their tight-knit team and play a vital role in scaling their innovative platform.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Maintaining and evolving a mature, compute-heavy platform built in C#, DuckDB, and Parquet, hosted via Docker and Azure.
  • Collaborating closely with software developers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver a powerful, real-time data engine.
  • Contributing to exciting new features using AI/ML/LLM technologies, and optimising data pipelines.
  • Becoming a key contributor to the development of their global product roadmap.
  • Working in a culture that values clean, efficient code, continuous learning, and open collaboration.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 1 year of commercial experience in a software development role.
  • Practical experience in C# (essential).
  • Familiarity with Python, databases (DuckDB, SQLite, or Postgres), and cloud services (Azure or similar) is a big plus.
  • A strong interest in building reliable, efficient systems and contributing to open-source or community projects.
  • Someone who thrives in a flexible, purpose-driven environment and enjoys working across multidisciplinary teams.
