As Maintenance Technician Mechanical you will maintain and repair all production equipment to ensure that all equipment is operating effectively and safely to minimize equipment downtime. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform corrective and preventive mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Repair production, processing, and utility-related equipment.
- Support the installation of new equipment.
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and neat work area.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Participate in the BOPEX (continuous improvement) program.
- Comply with all applicable procedures, regulations, and policies.
- Report and stop unsafe operations, using mandatory PPE as defined.
- Offer flexibility in working hours based on business needs, including on-call work outside regular hours.
Relevant industry experience, preferably in malting/milling or heavy industrial environments involving large capacity grain/cereal handling, conveying, elevating, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc. Mechanical skills and knowledge. Basic knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out/Safe Isolation, Working at Height, Permit to Work, Confined Space, ATEX/DSEAR, etc. Shift work experience, preferably 12-hour continental shifts. Ability to work independently within a small shift team (1 x electrical, 1 x mechanical). Ability to provide basic hand tools; site-specific or specialist tools and equipment will be provided.
